crosta terreno

Following prolonged periods of heavy rains, or even of flooding is very likely that on the ground forms a hard and flat layer. This occurs when the soil isn't worked or if rains were so abundant as literally saturate the soil that can no longer absorb water.
The crust that forms, risks to seriously affect the growth and development of trees and vegetables, preventing water and nutrients to penetrate down to the roots.
It's therefore appropriate to operate with motor hoe, hoe or weeder in order to break the superficial thickening and restore the absorbent capacity of the soil.
