To prepare your garden to winter is good practice to properly organize the winter rest of irrigation systems, to avoid that the water into systems freeze up and, increasing in volume, may damages pipes and components.

  • Must close the gate valve before the solenoid and eliminate the remaining water in them;

  • remove the cap at the end of the line so as to remove all the water from the pipes;

  • to protect the solenoids from freezing inside the wells, it should cover them with rock wool or non-woven fabric;

  • remove the batteries from any device which control unit, solenoid valve, etc.;

  • clean filters;

  • emptied of all a possible surface pump dedicated to the system.
