This year February will count 28 days and, most likely, be characterized by a great cold wave in our country. On day 11 it will be Carnival which, for the Catholic Church, is closely linked to Easter, a mobile festivity. Easter falls on the Sunday following the first full moon of spring between 22nd March and 25th April. To calculate the date of Carnival you must subtract six weeks to the date of Easter. The Tuesday that precedes the Ash Wednesday is the last day of Carnival and is called Mardi Gras, the day when most of the festivities are concentrated together with the fat Thursday. The five weeks following the date of the carnival are Lent.
