Vigneto

During what was one of the hottest and driest summers of the last 150 years, a few notes of hope is offered by research in the agronomic field.
To suffer more from this strong and lasting drought was, as always, the agricultural sector that saw drastically decrease production compared to previous years. The grapes harvest, especially for the later varieties, saw production drops of up to 40%.
The University of Milan, with the support of the wineries gathered in Winegraft has selected a graft holder able to reduce the absorption of water by 30% throughout the life cycle of the plant. It's a small goal that opens the doors to an increasingly targeted research towards environmental sustainability closely linked to the economic viability of companies.
