This is the month that officially marks the end of summer and introduces us to autumn with the Equinox on day 22, when day and night are the same length. It's a month of transition, where the climate is still mild but the days shorter. The name comes from the fact that September was the seventh month in the Roman calendar, even if the name has been changed several times during the empire in "Germanico" and then "Amazonius" but later restored.
The day 16 will be visible from Europe a penumbrale Eclipse of the moon, observed at about 9 PM. It is a span of time in which the moon transits only to the Earth's penumbra, without being obscured by the shadow.
