One of the main advantages of micro-irrigation is certainly saving water. With this targeted system water is absorbed directly by the plant almost completely, eliminated the dispersion in the soil and groundwater. It's an precision irrigation that is used not only for small crops, gardens, flower beds, greenhouses, plant nurseries and hydroponics, also in domestic systems for automated irrigation of potted plants.
More effective uses of micro-irrigation are: irrigation under and over the canopy in orchards, fertigation in open fields and in greenhouses, pesticide treatments especially in protected cultivation and frost protection irrigation in orchards and vineyards, used to protect crops and blooms from frost.
With special nozzles for spraying, the micro-irrigation can be an effective solution for cooling of farms, sheds and outdoor environments and for microclimate control in vineyards, orchards and wineries.
