albero Natale

At the base of the Christmas tree tradition there are ancient customs, typical of different cultures in particular those northern, from which spruce was considered a magical tree.
Thanks to the fact of being an evergreen, able to withstand the very rigid temperatures of the north, already to Celts and Vikings this tree assumed a symbolic value on the occasion of the winter solstice and the long nights that lasted weeks hoped for the return of the sun.
The tree itself includes a myriad of symbols and allegories rooted in many cultures, and, with the advent of Christianity, the use of Christmas tree is also stated in Christian traditions, as a symbol of birth, life and light.
