zolfo

The sulfur comes under the category of natural products allowed in organic farming as crop treatment.
Is used since ancient times, the Greeks used it for powdery mildew in 1000 BC, as a fungicide, acaricide and repellent. It's used then against the mildews, especially using it in dust, it fights the red spider mite and eriophyid screw acting also as a repellent.
In general, the sulfur is used in powder form in the case of infection or more severe attacks; wettable sulphur is effective as prevention and has a lower persistence on fruits and plants, even if, in any case, doesn't penetrate into tissue and in the sap of plants, as opposed to systemic products.
It's always advisable to treat crops with sulfur in the cooler hours of the day, to avoid phytotoxicity.
