Guerrilla Gardening Milano

It's a form of political gardening, a non-violent protest that aims to recuperate abandoned areas of the city by planting shrubs, plants and flowers. Has developed since 1973 under the name of Green Guerrilla with Social Action connotations, however, already it existed before, not only as the recovery of degraded areas, but also as a source of food. Still the Guerrilla Gardening is practiced for both reasons, with associative character which aims to involve communities to make them active participants and the environment in which they live. Different forms of recovery of degraded green spaces provide, for example, urban gardens, which although have much in common with Guerrilla Gardening, differ from this, that very often points to lightning-fast maneuvers mainly nocturnal. Like a real war, in fact, it uses the bombs (made of seeds though), which soon give birth to flowers and plants. These green guerrillas have taken quite literally the invitation of the band I Giganti who sang: "put flowers in your cannons".
