The aeroponic cultivation is very similar to hydroponics, but differs from this due for the absence of any support to the roots that are left devoid of both land and any inert material.
The plant is fed only through a mist of water and nutrients and being slightly more challenging than the hydroponic cultivation, this is carried out almost exclusively in greenhouses.
It retains the same advantages of hydroponics, limiting with the absence of ground and the indoor mode, the attack of insects and bacteria and consequently also the use of pesticides. It is preferred, therefore, especially for growing tubers like potatoes, which the crop can often be compromised from animals and insects of the soil.
