incendio

Throughout Italy, continues the habit of dispose mulch and brushwood burning them directly into the fields, but this practice can be very dangerous, especially in the summer period, with very high temperatures and droughts. It's good practice to make sure that aren't orders by the Region or Forestry, which prohibits burnings in order to avoid fire.
In the absence of any prohibitions, however, it is possible to take measures that limit the risk of fire during the disposal of agricultural waste.

In particular, it is appropriate to:

  • avoid using machines with rotating parts (such as harvesters) in the hottest hours of the day or in the presence of wind, as these can cause sparks;

  • make perimetral bands of worked ground;

  • use with caution machines subject to overheating;

  • avoid placing fires in the presence of wind, drought or hottest hours.
