apicoltura urbana

Urban beekeeping is increasingly taking place in small and large cities. It's a practice that, in addition to the self-production of honey, contributes to avert the extinction of bees, started several years ago. It seems paradoxical but in the cities these insects find a much more favorable environment respect to countrysides, where pesticides and herbicides have unfortunately decimated their populations. In cities such as New York, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo or Copenhagen, urban beekeeping has spread so much that some producers have thought of marketing the obtained honey, that as taste and organoleptic qualities has nothing to envy to that produced elsewhere. Whether on the roof, on the balcony or in the garden of the house, the urban beekeeping is simple to put into practice and absolutely not dangerous, with the right measures: for example you can place a beehive at least 5 meters from a border of property and 10 meters from a public road.
