grandine vigna

The week after Easter for Italian agriculture was full of disaster.
From north to south, in fact, our territory was severely affected first by violent hailstorms and later by waves of frost. This phase, immediately following the upswing of the temperatures of the last few weeks, caused not a few damages in crops, which just because of the heat had begun to fruition early.
The largest damages are for vineyards, orchards and summer vegetables, which in some areas account for about 70% of production.
The CIA (Italian Farmers' Confederation) has already started the damage count, but expects to improve climate conditions to establish measures and time limits for compensations.
