serra sundrop

Sundrop Farms is an installation which occupies about 20 hectares of one of the most desertical areas of the planet and uses a large thermal solar power station that regulates the temperature and desalinates sea water for irrigation.
The basic idea is to provide a contribution to the serious problem of global food shortages, exploiting the potential of an inhospitable and useful resources-free territory to agriculture.
According to a study of the Academy of Sciences of California, for the crops it consumes almost 40% of land area, 70% of the planet's fresh water, and it produces 25% of greenhouse gas emissions, obvious signs that the traditional agriculture hasn't long life and is destined to evolve with intelligence to more eco-friendly methods and more respectful of the now scarce resources of the Earth.
